Responsibilities:

  • To source for non-raw material commodity (indirect/capex/services) required by all ASEAN plants.
  • Monitor supplier performance, communicate, coordinate suppliers meeting resolving chronic supplier related problems
  • Manage, coordinating, controlling and monitoring the preparation, purchase and delivery of non-raw materials
  • To be accountable for the smooth and effective interaction between Purchasing and all other functions to obtain the optimum service for the business
  • To make full and effective contribution to the formulation of coherent commodity strategies for the business
  • To help achieve objectives in supporting of the Management Plan, as well as contribute to the development, monitoring and achievement of annual cost reduction target
  • To play a leading role in negotiating, establishing and maintaining legally binding contracts and supply agreements for the commodities
  • To develop and maintain systems and procedures to support the material sourcing and ordering
  • Responsible for supplier cost analysis and cost benchmarking across the region with the objective to source from low cost suppliers
  • Play a leading role in Supplier Relationship Management
  • Coordinate and manage procurement process scrap buyer to determine the most appropriate buyer with the requirements of the company so that the availability of scrap buyer in a timely manner
  • Other adhoc duties / project as assigned

Requirements:

  • Degree holder or graduate in preferably in an Engineering / Technology or Business Commercial
  • Minimum of 7 years in purchasing role and preferably leading, multi-functional project teams
  • Familiar with industrial processes
  • Adaptable to change in work processes and changing competitive environment
  • Possess strong negotiation and leadership skills
  • Mature, responsible and bale to work with minimum supervision
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, particularly good in working with cross functional teams
  • Independent, self driven, effective team player and dedicate with high sense of integrity
  • Ability to thrive in a fluid, demanding, and fast growth culture
  • Ability to perform under pressure and stressful conditions
  • Good level of self-confidence and able to work independently
  • Good interpersonal skills, high team-work spirit
